Summer Maternity portrait session

Jay and Sara are an adorable couple who patiently waited for the arrival of their baby boy!  We met on a VERY HOT AND HUMID day last summer at Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, New Jersey.  I will never forget their session.  I left drenched in sweat, but Sara rocked her session like a champ!  She even pulled off a wardrobe change behind a tree.  Don’t worry, I stood guard!

Jay and Sara were referred to me by our wedding photographer Kaitlin Hebert.  They were married in the fall of 2013.  Take a look at their engagement session here!

I wish I lived closer to Sayen Gardens because my oh my, this place is GORGEOUS!  I could shoot here every day!  We walked almost every inch of this park to take in all the sites.  However, it was super hot and I forgot my water bottle!  Sara however, was glowing and it wasn’t from the sweat.  Jay looked lovingly at his pregnant wife the whole session.

After a few different locations and poses, Sara asked if she minded if she changed into a different outfit.  I, of course, said yes!  However, there were no bathrooms and we had to find a discreet location for Sara to change.  We found a quiet corner of the property, Jay helped Sara change and I stood guard so we wouldn’t get caught!  Sara ROCKED that outfit change!!  The gown she choose was made for her; she looked absolutely stunning!!! You’ll have to see those images at the end.  Between the gown, flower crown, and the summer light… these are some of my favorite images of 2016!
