Avery {First Birthday} | Great Gatsby Smash

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Avery every three months during her first year.  She has been full of personality from the beginning!  When it came to decided on a theme for Avery’s cake smash, her momma mentioned a Great Gatsby theme.  I was so excited an had so many ideas running through my head.  I definitely wanted to incorporate feathers because they are symbolic for her mom and we used one during Avery’s newborn session.

We started her session with portraits but Avery was hard to keep still for that long!  That was until we put a cake in front of her.  She even dove head first into the cake!! After she was done with the cake, she put her in a splash to clean up!  I hope you enjoy these images as much as Avery enjoyed her cake!
