Today’s featured session is a Vintage Airplane themed cake smash that includes a bomber jacket and one super adorable one year old!

I had the pleasure of meeting Logan and his mom during my Holiday mini session last fall. He was HANDS DOWN the best dressed babe in his red reindeer overalls! You will sure see a lot of him this fall because his session went so well he will be the face for this year’s minis!

Fast forward a few months and it was time to celebrate Logan’s birthday. His mom wanted a vintage airplane themed session. Her father is retired from the Air Force and she wanted to surprise him. I bet there is some family scuffles during football season bc Logan’s father is active duty in the Army!

I put together this setup just for Logan. I even made a cardboard airplane out of an Amazon box to go along with his vintage pilot hat! Well, I should have known better because when you have all these amazing ideas in your head….. they NEVER work out in the world of children photography!! These babes control the show and Logan wanted nothing to do with the hat or box. It’s okay though, we still managed to get some amazing shots. He eventually warmed up to my camera and started making some silly faces!

We got to the cake part and Logan was a little confused what to do! He was very unsure about making a mess, but after a few bites he figured out that red velvet cake was delicious!

I hope you enjoy looking through Logan’s first birthday session. It was a pleasure to work with this family before they moved back to Louisiana.
