Chase {Fresh 48} | Virtua Voorhees

Chase was born last March at Virtua Voorhees.  His older brother was my VERY FIRST newborn session in 2013 and he got to be my VERY FIRST Fresh 48 session!

A ‘fresh 48’ is a session that is done in your hospital room before you are discharged to go home.  It is usually takes place within the first two days of your baby’s life and that is where the nickname Fresh 48 comes from!  These sessions are great for older siblings to meet their new brother or sister.  Sometimes the posed studio setting can be too much for a 2 year old.  This allows the sibling to be more relaxed and not as contained to a small space.  Unfortunately, Chase’s older brother, Drew, had a cold and we thought it would be best he stayed home for this session.  (Don’t worry we got some awesome shots during his studio newborn session!)

Another reason I love these hospital fresh 48 sessions is the laid back lifestyle approach.  There is very little posing and all the interaction is natural.   These moments are some of the ones you don’t want to forget when you are looking back years in the future.  It is almost the calm before the storm.  The moments before you head home to face reality!  You are still on a high of emotions and I love being there to capture those moments.
